Give Me A Sign!Even to the casual reader, the Gospel of John is profoundly different from the other gospels. The opening phrase In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God introduces us to a deeply theological view of Jesus.
John has carefully chosen a highlights reel of divine encounters to shine a spotlight on Jesus. John is purposefully guiding us, sign after sign, to bring us to a point of belief in Jesus. John made his reason for writing the gospel clear stating this is written …. that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. In this series we will look at the signs Jesus performed, consider what they reveal about him and what they point to. Join us as we stop, look, and listen as Jesus turns water into wine, gives sight to a blind man and raises Lazarus from the death.
